Coven of Fire
The origins of the Coven of Fire date all the way back to the first zawmancer. Only drawings, a few inscriptions, and oral history are left of its roots, but it's undeniable that the actions of the First Caster have built the state of Zawmar cultivation today. The Coven of Fire is made up of a collection of elder witches that have trained up new witches in the past. They encourage the culture of the Exploding Witches in order to create a sense of unity within the group, a detail that is important to consider when each witch must theoretically compete with each other over gaining power. Add that realization in with the mental state of a typical witch, and both chaos and infighting are never far.
The Coven is able to keep a bit of a reign on its witches through carefully selecting new candidates. Girls that have little to no familial ties and tragic or terrible personal circumstances are their prime target, as this builds a heavy reliance on the relationships built within the clan. When an elder witch finds a suitable mentor, she will usually take them into her home and train them. They are told to discard their old last names in favour of their mentor's first name, which further feeds into the sense of unity.
The Arcane Hand attempts to monitor the activities of Exploding Witches closely when they surface, but hold tense relations with the Coven of Fire.
